Collection: CO2 Fractional Laser

What is Fractional CO2 Laser Equipment?
Fractional CO2 Laser Equipment is the latest and most focused technology not only in the United States but throughout the world.

It is an equipment used by dermatologists to deliver effective anti-aging procedures. Such as: Skin Tightening, Skin Resurfacing, Scar Remodeling, Skin Rejuvenation, Reduction of Skin Tags and Benign Skin Lesions, Correcting Skin Imperfections, Constricting Pores, and more.

This equipment is used to deliver a non-invasive procedure that uses a laser, made of carbon dioxide to remove the outer layers of damaged skin. The power of laser heats and impairs the skin allowing it to trigger neocollagenesis resulting in a tighter and smoother skin.

The Fractional CO2 Laser Machine has 7 different built-in laser focus shapes that allows dermatologists to provide custom treatments based on a client’s needs.

What Benefits Can Your Clients Get From Fractional CO2 Laser Machines?

Aside from dramatically enhancing skin tone, texture and reducing signs of aging, fractional CO2 laser machines are highly effective and are a gentle way for renewing skin to its youthful appearance.

Fractional CO2 Laser Machines provide dramatic results with easy and comfortable treatment. Since fractional CO2 laser machines deliver a lot of narrow columns of laser light, most of your skin is not injured.

How Do Fractional CO2 Laser Machines Work?
Fractional CO2 laser machines take CO2 laser beams and particulate that beam into thousands of little shafts of light. These tiny shafts of light pierce through the deeper layers of skin. The skin then restores those tiny shafts by eliminating the old sun damaged skin and replacing it with new skin.

CO2 Fractional Laser Machines are compatible with Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Sculptra and other laser based technologies such as IPL, hair removal, and more.

A Fractional CO2 Laser Machine works by producing light at 10,600nm wavelength that is absorbed by water in the tissue. The laser energy heats up water until reaching a boiling point that causes evaporation of affected tissues. Laser beams could also be delivered through a scanner that can be used to control the delivery of energy.

Performing Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment
Who Can Perform Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment?
Fractional CO2 laser treatment is a powerful treatment that can produce wonderful results but could also result in severe complications and side effects. Thus, it should only be performed by qualified physicians such as dermatologists, electrologists, RN or doctors with extensive experience with lasers.

How To Use A Fractional CO2 Laser Machine?
To use a fractional CO2 laser machine, you just need to adjust the power settings depending on the type of treatment. The index setting should vary depending on the skin type and depth of wrinkles. Reduction of index setting is needed to increase the exposure time and spot penetration. For acne scars, index settings need to be low while the power setting should vary according to the skin type and the severity of the scars. The power setting should be increased until the desired effect on the tissue is obtained. Once fractional laser treatment is done, the laser can then be switched back to its traditional CO2 mode for ablation of skin growths.

How To Perform Fractional CO2 Laser?
Fractional CO2 Laser is performed by using a local anesthesia along with a sedative. Once the area to be treated has started to numb, laser settings should be adjusted to the corresponding treatment.

Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment Protocol
For the early intervention of postoperative scars. Treatment areas are cleansed with a mild cleanser. After which a topical anesthetic cream is then applied. After an hour, the anesthetic cream is then removed then treatment areas are then treated with fractional CO2. Sunscreen application is advised to be continued after the treatment.

Fractional CO2 Laser Treatment Steps
Clean the area to be treated.
20-30 minutes before the treatment, a topical anesthetic should be applied to the treatment area.
Prior to beginning the treatment, the anesthetic should be wiped off and replaced by a thin application of the tracking gel.
During treatment, cold air should be applied for patient comfort.
After treatment, physiotherapy laser should be used to enhance the patient’s treatment experience and accelerate the benefits of Fractional CO2 treatment.
How Long To Wait Between Fractional CO2 Laser Treatments?
For most fractionated CO2 laser treatments, it is highly recommended that patients wait 6 to 12 months before considering another treatment.
